Antique Flemish Stations Of The Cross Complete Set Of 14 Oil

Description of item for sale: This antique set of stations of the cross come from a Flemish monastery.  They date to approximately 1905.  The illustrations are hand painted with oil paints on copper plates.  Note the fine detail in the artwork.  The frames are wood coated with gesso and painted.  The  paintings are somewhat dark and probably would benefit from cleaning.  They are in very good antique condition with minor chips, nicks and scratches consistent with their age.  Be sure to examine the paintings carefully to understand the minor chips and scratches.  Also, as you can see, the gesso coated wood frames are chipped here and there.  Finally, a few of the wood crosses on the tops have minor splits and repairs.  Dimensions:  36" tall (28" tall without the crosses) and 18" wide. (1709).
